MADE REACT: Intelligent Systems A/S is one of 23 partners in a large scale research and innovation project that focuses on using new technological solutions to make the Danish industry more resilient in an ever-changing world.
The past decade has proven just how unpredictable the world can truly be. With tensions rising high and resources becoming limited. A unique opportunity has opened itself up for manufacturers to fill in the holes left behind. If they are able to change gear, that is.
In comes MADE REACT – A new research and innovation project started by MADE, the Manufacturing Academy of Denmark, together with 23 partners in total. REACT is looking into the challenges faced by manufacturing on multiple levels, and providing new solutions and technologies back to manufacturing. With the final goal being that production can become both flexible to fulfill changing needs and resilient to unforeseeable events or external factors.
With a focus on digital solutions involving technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced robotics. The project’s participants includes 5 universities, 3 RTO’s, and 14 companies.
With the expectation that the results will improve production efficiency and competitiveness in the international market. REACT has acquired a budget of over DKK 100 million. Of which Innovation Fund Denmark has invested 40 million DKK.
“Currently, there is a huge demand for European competitiveness to go up in gear, and, therefore, it is vital to keep focusing on innovation in our manufacturing businesses. MADE has proven themselves a successful platform for innovation, and for that reason, are we happy to invest in MADE REACT, who can make use of their good experiences, safe development, and application of innovative solutions out in the companies. It will be of benefit to companies, Denmark and ultimately Europe,” says Cecilie Brøkner, director of Innovation Fund Denmark.
